in order to share meaningful visual stories, creative teams must have a
strategy in place to streamline the production, organization and
distribution of their creative assets.

Top takeaways from the report indicate that 75 percent of marketers see
better campaign results with visual content. 69 percent of marketers are
sharing visual content at least once a day to engage their audiences
online, while 78 percent are always using a visual when posting to their
digital marketing channels.

In 2018, according to Nielsen[6],
U.S. adults spend over 11 hours a day interacting with media. As a
result, marketers are trying to keep up with consumers’ demands for
quality content.

Compelling points below indicate demand for strong visual content is
driving industry trends:

  • There was a 13 percent spike from last year in companies investing in
    full-time staff photographers and videographers to create branded
  • The need for photography increased by 63 percent and videography by 73
    percent from last year.
  • 38 percent of marketers use a cloud-based digital asset management
    system to organize their visual assets.
  • 89 percent of marketers said speed is “important” or “very important”
    when trying to locate visual assets for marketing purposes, which is
    up 19 percent from last year.
  • 64 percent feel the ability to locate and share visual assets quickly
    is important to their job.
  • 80 percent use social media to distribute visual content to engage
    their audiences.
